Falcons Withdraw from BLAST Bounty Fall 2025 and Open Fall 2025 [Updated]

Time: 2025-07-18 18:14 (UTC)

Update at 21:50 CEST: The CS2 manager at Falcons , Xavier Roussac, commented on the team's decision to withdraw from BLAST tournaments for HLTV. According to him, the decision was made due to visa difficulties and the low value of these events in Valve's ranking system:

kyousuke is 17 and hasn't really traveled before, which makes getting a Schengen visa a bit harder. We'll get them, but at first it'll only be for 30 days. That means he'll need to reapply between events. With the processing time from application to approval, it takes quite a while, so we might not be able to play every Schengen event. The VRS impact of BLAST will be minimal compared to the time commitment since most of it is online and less 'exciting' to play

Original News:
Falcons unexpectedly withdrew from BLAST Bounty Fall 2025 and BLAST Open Fall 2025. The organization did not comment on the reasons for the withdrawal, despite both tournaments being part of the official BLAST season and potentially an important part of preparation for the autumn major.

Meanwhile, the team is conducting a non-gaming bootcamp — without computers and matches. It is dedicated to integrating new players, as well as physical and mental preparation. This method is popular under the guidance of zonic , who has conducted such bootcamps with Astralis , Vitality , and previous Falcons rosters.

We are currently having a non-PC bootcamp. It is focused on adapting new players — this is a key part of this stage
said Lars Robl, sports psychologist and performance director at Falcons .

The bootcamp is taking place without gaming stations, which has raised questions in the community. Commentator and analyst voo ironically noted:

This bootcamp won't affect their gameplay. But when they get knocked out of the next major, I'll definitely say it was to blame
Donald "voo" Parkhurst

Perhaps Falcons are deliberately reducing the number of tournaments to avoid oversaturation and approach the BLAST.tv Major Budapest 2025 in optimal form. Overload and fatigue might have been one of the reasons for the team's failure at the Austin Major, where Falcons finished in 20th–22nd place.

The next tournament for Falcons will be IEM Cologne 2025, which starts on July 23, but their match will be on the 26th. The prize pool for the tournament is $1,250,000.
