Time: 2025-09-10 11:30 (UTC)

Leo Leo ” Jannesson is a well-known Swedish player on the professional VALORANT scene, who won a number of prestigious trophies as part of  Fnatic .

However, he has been inactive since mid-2024 and has not participated in any tournaments, and today it became known that he has officially ended his career.

Farewell to Leo

Today, Fnatic posted a message on its official social media accounts, saying goodbye to the player, thanking him for his performances and achievements, and wishing him success in the future.

After 3 years of last minute clutches, two international trophies and being an undisputable fan favorite, we wish farewell to Leo .

Whilst the last year hasn't been what we or Leo had hoped for, we are incredibly proud that Leo 's career was with us and for all the achievements we had with him on our roster. For now, Leo will be stepping away from VALORANT and we wish him all the very best in his future endeavours. We'll always be cheering from the sidelines.

The team's manager Cojo also said goodbye, praising Leo 's talent and dedication, and talking about the difficult circumstances surrounding the end of his career.

It's been a very challenging period over the last 15 or so months and I never expected it to end this way. To see a player as talented and hardworking as Leo put away the mouse due to an illness feels like a knife in the gut. Leo was a player mini and I always dreamed of signing and when we finally were able to get him - we felt like we could win anything (and we kind of did). As mini always said - he was as close to a perfect player we had ever seen. Leo was a great teammate, leader, player, and person, and he will be sorely missed by both his teammates and the community as a whole. Life is cruel sometimes, and this is one of those times.

Leo 's achievements

Leo joined Fnatic in October 2022 and became a key part of the lineup that dominated the international scene. His career at Fnatic was marked by victories at VCT 2023: LOCK//IN São Paulo, where he was named MVP, VALORANT Masters Tokyo 2023, and VCT 2024: EMEA Stage 1. The team also took second place in VCT 2023: EMEA League and competed against the strongest teams at the world championships. Leo 's last tournament was VALORANT Masters Shanghai 2024, where Fnatic finished in 7th-8th place.

After that, Leo began to have health problems and went inactive. For more than a year, the team's fans hoped that the player would return to the main roster, but today it became known that this will not happen. The player himself has not yet commented on his decision to leave the professional scene.
