At the press conference, Riot Games emphasized that the focus of the Asia-Pacific regional league will be placed in Taipei. The reason for merging the regions is to integrate the overall strength of the Asia-Pacific region, increasing the watchability of the games. They also hope to unite fans across the Asia-Pacific region, bringing new event experiences and expanding the fan base.

In response, Riot and Kairui International signed an MOU, adopting a 2+1 year contract effective from the end of 2025, aiming to achieve the highest level of e-sports events in the Asia-Pacific. Kairui will be responsible for the offline e-sports arena and the broadcasting operations of the events, as well as producing all international event broadcasts in Chinese, mainly for the new international events to be added next year.

The previously rumored e-sports arena is also confirmed to debut in 2025. Kairui International CEO Jerry stated that the arena will be located in the center of Taipei, but the exact location is currently undisclosed, emphasizing that it will definitely be in a "conveniently accessible" area. This summer's event will also be expanded, held at the Peace Basketball Arena for two consecutive days, starting from the lower bracket finals, allowing all fans to experience the excitement of live events together.

Regarding this regional merger, the official hopes to select the strongest competitive teams to compete in international events, aiming to invigorate the APAC league through a more comprehensive mechanism, allowing them to reach the next stage on the international stage.

After BYG announced its disbandment due to funding issues this year, Riot also addressed this issue today, stating that in 2025, they will provide electronic merchandise (possibly skins, emotes, etc.) revenue sharing. They hope this model will stimulate teams to expand their fan base, not only domestically but also through their performance in international events, creating a positive cycle to solve the economic problems of the teams.
