Rumor: rain to Join 100 Thieves

Time: 2025-10-31 13:30 (UTC)

The American organization  100 Thieves  is preparing for a significant return to the Counter-Strike 2 discipline, reports Dust2.dk.

According to sources, the first player of the new roster is the Norwegian Håvard "rain" Nygaard, who recently left  FaZe Clan  after more than nine years of playing.

Rain to Sign with 100 Thieves

As noted by Dust2.dk, the deal between rain and 100 Thieves has already been signed, and the experienced Norwegian will become part of a project aimed at reviving the brand on the CS scene. It is not yet known what specific role he will take on in the team, but after his departure from FaZe, the player himself stated that he is ready to try new positions, including the role of in-game leader (IGL).

100 Thieves Return After a Five-Year Hiatus

The organization 100 Thieves , founded by former professional Call of Duty player Matthew “Nadeshot” Haag, left Counter-Strike in 2020. At the time, management explained this decision due to the "instability of the scene" and the difficulty of maintaining a full-fledged roster at an international level.

Since then, rumors of a return have surfaced repeatedly, and now it seems they are finally being confirmed. The organization's president, Jacob Toft-Andersen, stated back in 2024 that CS2 remains in 100 Thieves ' plans, and now this process is moving into a practical phase.

Potential Core Roster

Who will join rain in the lineup remains unknown. According to insiders, the organization is considering signing three players from  GamerLegion  to create a competitive core around the Norwegian.

So far, neither the exact roster nor the coaching staff has been finalized, and the timeline for the team's presentation also remains unclear.

The return of 100 Thieves could become one of the most significant events at the end of 2025. Signing the legendary rain is not only a symbolic move but also a signal of the American club's serious ambitions, aiming to once again establish itself among the world's strongest teams.
