Navi Part Ways with Coach Following Poor Performance at The International 2025

Time: 2025-09-16 19:00 (UTC)

The esports organization  Natus Vincere  has announced the end of its collaboration with Dota 2 coach Maksim "TheHeartlessKing" Fadeev.

The contract was terminated shortly after the conclusion of The International 2025, where the team failed to advance past the playoff stage, finishing in 14th–15th place and earning $26,845 in prize money.

TheHeartlessKing joined Navi on July 1, 2025. Under his leadership, the team had a busy season, participating in four LAN tournaments. In the spring, Navi secured 7th–8th place at PGL Wallachia Season 4, followed by a 9th–12th place finish at the Esports World Cup 2025 and 11th–12th place at DreamLeague Season 26, but they couldn't reach peak form for the year's main tournament.

This marks the third coaching change cycle for the club in the past two years— Navi had previously altered their coaching staff following unsuccessful seasons. Management has yet to announce who will lead the team in the new season, but sources indicate that the organization plans to begin restructuring the roster and searching for a new coach soon.

The club's management thanked TheHeartlessKing for his work and wished him success in his future career. The organization has not announced a new coach yet, but a roster overhaul and preparation for the next season are planned in the near future.
