The MongolZ continued their strong performance at IEM Cologne 2025, securing a spot in the playoffs. In the upper bracket semifinals, they defeated the revamped Falcons roster with a 2:0 scoreline, guaranteeing their place in the next stage of the tournament.

On Falcons ' pick — Dust2, The MongolZ quickly took the initiative and finished the first half with an 8:4 lead. After the sides switched, Falcons tried to fight back but couldn't close the gap — the map ended in favor of The MongolZ with a score of 13:9. On Mirage, The MongolZ were once again stronger: winning the first half 7:5, they sealed the victory at 13:9, sending Falcons to the lower bracket.

The standout player of the match was Azbayar "senzu" Munkhbold, who finished the series with an impressive 45 kills and 24 deaths and an ADR over 90. 

Now The MongolZ will face the winner of Vitality /G2 for seeding, while Falcons drop to the lower bracket to play against the winner of Astralis / FURIA Esports . The MongolZ match will be played on Tuesday, and the Falcons match on Monday, with the match times yet to be announced.

IEM Cologne 2025 is taking place from July 23 to August 3 in Germany , with a prize pool of $1,000,000.
