Although nothing related to the anti-cheat was officially changed in the July 29 update, most cheats indeed stopped working. This may be due to non-obvious technical changes in the client or server side that disrupted compatibility with cheat software. Essentially, this is a side effect of the patch rather than a deliberate measure by Valve. As a result, matches at higher ranks have become noticeably "cleaner."

The temporary disappearance of cheaters is not a victory, but rather a respite. While matchmaking has become more comfortable, the fundamental problem remains.
