The series began on Inferno, FaZe’s pick, where the international roster looked unstoppable. With a dominant 10:2 first half, FaZe easily wrapped up the opening map 13:6, setting the tone for what many expected to be a routine win.
Aurora, however, responded in spectacular fashion on Mirage. Controlling the pace from the start, they stormed to a commanding 10:2 lead before halftime. FaZe had no answers after the switch, and Aurora closed the map 13:3, leveling the series at 1:1.
