The Philippines is preparing to launch the DOTA 2 PBA Professional League

Several billion-dollar companies in the Philippines are jointly preparing to launch the DOTA 2 PBA Professional League.

These three companies are dominant conglomerates in the Philippines: San Miguel Beermen (a beer company), Meralco Bolts (an electricity company), and Phoenix Fuelmasters (an oil company). Among them, the oil company Fuelmasters might be the weakest in terms of strength. Meralco Bolts holds a virtual monopoly in the Philippine electricity market, while San Miguel Beermen's industries span various sectors across the country.

A spokesperson from Fuelmasters mentioned their personal enthusiasm for DOTA 2, highlighting the game's extensive player base and market. The three companies aim to collaborate and organize a Southeast Asian DOTA 2 professional league, known as the PBA league. The PBA league is slated to debut in 2024.
