On July 9, the second day of the group stage of the Esports World Cup 2025 for Dota 2 took place in Riyadh. As part of the round-robin stage, eight matches were played. Victories were claimed by Natus Vincere , Team Spirit , Team Liquid , Gaimin Gladiators , BetBoom Team , and Team Yandex . The only draw of the day was recorded in the match between Tundra Esports and Aurora Gaming. The tournament continues as teams compete for a spot in the playoffs.
Group Distribution
Group A
Natus Vincere confidently defeated Xtreme Gaming with a score of 2:0, earning three points. Team Spirit also secured a victory by defeating Talon Esports. After the second round, Spirit and NaVi share the top spot, while Xtreme and Talon have yet to earn any points.
Group B
Gaimin Gladiators overcame Execration, and BetBoom Team proved stronger than Team Falcons — both matches ended 2:0. Thanks to this, GG and BetBoom secured their positions at the top of the table. Execration and Falcons are at the bottom.
Group C
In the day's central match, Aurora Gaming and Tundra Esports ended in a draw — 1:1. In a parallel match, Team Yandex confidently handled Virtus.Pro . Aurora and Tundra are neck and neck, while Virtus.Pro remains without points and a map difference of –4.
Group D
Team Liquid continues to dominate: after defeating PARIVISION , the team won their second match against the same opponent — 2:0. Heroic also scored their first points, confidently beating Shopify Rebellion . Liquid leads the group with six points, PARIVISION and Heroic share second place, and Shopify is at the bottom of the table.
