Time: 2025-05-26 19:06 (UTC)

On May 26, the upper bracket final of the LEC Spring 2025 playoffs took place, where G2 Esports defeated Movistar KOI in a Bo5 series with a score of 3:1. This victory secured G2 a spot in the grand final of the split and qualification for the Mid-Season Invitational 2025.

The series kicked off with a confident performance from G2, who took the first two maps in a row. They won the first map with a score of 27:14, and then solidified their lead on the second map with a 13:8 victory, the longest in the series. Movistar KOI managed to respond on the third map: with a well-executed strategy, they narrowed the gap by winning 13:6. However, on the fourth map, G2 left no room for doubt, securing a swift 13:3 victory to conclude the series. The best player of the match was Steven "Hans Sama" Liv, who played a decisive role in his team's victory. His performance was a key factor in G2's success throughout the series.

Thus, G2 Esports advance to the grand final of LEC Spring 2025 and become the first team to secure a spot at MSI 2025 and the Esports World Cup 2025. Meanwhile, Movistar KOI drop to the lower bracket and get another chance to fight for a spot in the tournament's decisive stage.

LEC Spring 2025 will return on May 31 with a lower bracket match: Team Heretics will face Fnatic in the playoff quarterfinals.

LEC Spring 2025 continues from March 29 to June 8. Teams compete for playoff spots and slots in international tournaments such as the EWC and MSI 2025. Stay updated with news, schedules, and tournament results through the link.
