Fnatic is preparing for changes ahead of the start of LEC 2025 Summer. According to Sheep Esports, T1 Academy mid laner Yun " Poby " Seong-won has reached a verbal agreement with the club and is set to replace Marek "Humanoid" Brázda. This decision comes after a series of unsuccessful seasons, where Fnatic lost to G2 Esports in the finals four times. The summer split begins on August 2.
Poby 's Experience in T1 Academy and LCK
Poby represents T1 Esports Academy and has been part of the South Korean organization since 2022. In 2023, he played 18 matches in the LCK, temporarily replacing faker during an injury. In the LCK CL, Poby did not achieve significant results: he finished 9th in the spring of 2024 and 4th in the summer.
Reasons for Humanoid's Departure
Humanoid has been playing for Fnatic since 2022. Despite consistent performance in regular stages, he repeatedly lost effectiveness in the playoffs. Criticism within the team was growing, and the player himself admitted in interviews to a decrease in motivation. Amid increased competition in the mid lane — including players like Vladi and jojopyun — Fnatic decided to change their mid laner.
Among alternative candidates, Fnatic considered Šimon "OMON" Říháček from BK ROG and Oh "Callme" Ji-hoon from Misa Esports , but ultimately chose Poby . This transfer marks a return to the Korean direction following the departure of Noah and Jun at the end of 2024.
No official confirmation of the deal has been made yet. The updated team roster is expected to be announced closer to the start of the split.
