Malrang and ADAM : "In an organization like NAVI, you can't just relax"

Time: 2025-07-14 08:00 (UTC)

Natus Vincere returns to League of Legends after eight years: the organization has purchased a slot from Rogue and is now officially represented in the LEC. In an interview on the NAVI League of Legends YouTube channel, players ADAM " ADAM " Maanan and Kim " Malrang " Geun-seong, who previously played for Rogue , discussed the changes in the team, their mindset, and why this relaunch is particularly significant.

NAVI previously tried their hand in League of Legends from 2012 to 2017, but without significant results. Now, the team returns to the elite of European LoL, and they're not starting from scratch—rather, with the battle-hardened core of Rogue . The players have extensive experience, but also the scars of the past season, and it's this mix that makes their relaunch especially intriguing.

A New Start After Rogue
ADAM admitted that even when joining Rogue , he hoped for a change in the club's ownership:

I joined Rogue at the beginning of the year only because I hoped someone would buy them out. In the end, they just didn't care.

ADAM added that the transition to NAVI was unexpected for him:

I heard different names, but NAVI wasn't among them. When I found out it was them—I was pleasantly surprised.

Communication is Key to Success
Last season, Rogue faced internal team issues, which ADAM recalls with regret:

Team WE didn't know our strengths and weaknesses. Team WE couldn't discuss it. Communication between players was almost impossible.

Malrang added that the team's atmosphere left much to be desired:

Team WE barely talked to each other. I don't like such an atmosphere.

Role Change: From Jungle to Support
The main personal change was Malrang 's switch from the jungler position to the support role:

It suits my style better. I'm an aggressive player, able to initiate fights. I think I can bring my uniqueness to the support role.

He also shared his expectations from working with the new bot lane:

Hans SamD is a great player. I think Team WE 'll show what Team WE can do.

NAVI is Not for "Chilling"
ADAM emphasizes that NAVI has a completely different level of responsibility:

You can't just relax in an organization like NAVI. It's a big opportunity, and you have to make the most of it.

Although the team has not yet started full-scale training, their mindset is combative. ADAM is confident:

Team WE have a good plan. I think Team WE 'll be better than Rogue .

Interaction with the Community and Social Media
ADAM actively follows social media but tries not to take criticism to heart:

I read a lot, but I don't let it affect me. I just do my job.

However, he sometimes allows himself a bit of cheekiness:

If there's a chance to poke someone on social media—I do it.

NAVI's return to League of Legends after so many years is not just another roster, but a symbol of a new chapter in the club's history. By retaining Rogue 's experienced base, the organization not only secured a slot in the LEC but also a chance to seriously compete for leadership in Europe. The first season will show if the "born to win" can meet expectations in this new discipline.
