Patch 25.14 for League of Legends will be available on July 16 — in this update, Riot Games will introduce a new champion, Yunara, the mini-game "Battle for Koeshin," and the first wave of cosmetic updates from the Spirit Blossom: Springs series. Players can expect not only visual updates but also the launch of the new meta-game Koeshin’s Courtyard, a rework of the Spirit Bonds system, and significant balance adjustments for Arena.

Yunara, The Unwavering Faith
The main highlight of the patch is Yunara — a new champion from Ionia , who will receive the "Spirit Blossom: Springs" skin right at release. Her release is set for July 16 at 19:00 UTC. Alongside her, a new legendary Nocturne skin will be available, obtainable only through the Sanctum after 40 rolls or sooner, similar to Quantum Galaxy Slayer Zed.

New Mini-Game
With Yunara's introduction, a new mini-game "Battle for Koeshin" will launch — a 2D beat'em up where players fight as Yunara and Xin Zhao to save the village from Azakan. After completion, Koeshin's Courtyard will open, an updated version of Spirit Bonds, where players can gift Spirit Petals to spirits to earn rewards and increase bond levels. A total of 20 petals are required, some of which can be obtained through the battle pass or by using Yunara, Xin Zhao, or Spirit Blossom skins.

Bounty and Reward System
In patch 25.14, developers made targeted changes to the bounty mechanic. The contribution to the head bounty from farming has been reduced: previously, bounties were granted for every 17.5 gold, now — for every 20. Additionally, the bounty suppression radius was increased by 25% to make the appearance and disappearance of rewards smoother and more in line with player expectations.

Arena Balancing
Arena: First wave of balance adjustments With patch 25.14, Riot is starting the promised series of updates for Arena, which will be released in every even patch. This update includes changes to the strongest and weakest champions, as well as a unique augment for Yunara: Quest: Three Sacred Treasures. Upon meeting conditions, her attacks are replaced with lasers dealing double damage.

MacOS Transition from OpenGL to Metal and DirectX Changes
Technical changes and Mac support As of patch 25.2, Riot is transitioning the macOS client to Metal. In 25.12, this change was temporarily rolled back due to a critical error, but now returns — with an updated compatibility check system. Riot clarified that compatibility messages are now displayed correctly.

New Spirit Blossom Skins and Dawnbringer and Nightbringer
Starting July 16 at 19:00 UTC, new skins from the “Spirit Blossom Springs” series will be available for Yunara (with a mythic Nocturne skin). Additionally, Dawnbringer and Nightbringer skins will be available for Kalista, Hecarim, and Yuumi.

Patch 25.14 continues the summer wave of Spirit Blossom content and lays the foundation for future events. The new champion, events, skins, and mechanics — the update aims to engage players of all modes, especially in anticipation of Worlds 2025.
