Rekkles on Competing in LEC Versus 2026: "I'll Give It My All"

Time: 2025-10-27 23:00 (UTC)

Swedish support player Martin "Rekkles" Larsson reflected on the season with  Los Ratones  in a personal post on X and shared his plans for 2026.

He confirmed his participation in LEC Versus 2026 — a preseason tournament featuring 10 LEC teams, Los Ratones , and the champion of EMEA Masters 2025 Summer.

Return to Europe and Season Recap

Larsson explained why he returned to Europe after a season with  T1 Academy in Korea :

When I chose Los Ratones and decided not to continue my career in Korea , I was looking for a balance between rest and play. 2024 with T1 was incredible, but I wanted to be closer to home. It worked out, and in 2025 I felt really stable and mentally ready for something new.

He noted that the past season was extremely productive:

We won almost everything we could, and most of the time, we enjoyed the process.

However, towards the end of the year, the team faced some internal challenges:

By the end of the year, the positive vibe started to fade — and we need to discuss this as a team to understand how to move forward.

The Future Depends on the Team and Opportunities

The player confirmed his definite participation in LEC Versus, but he isn't making long-term plans yet:

For now, I will definitely participate in LEC Versus. What happens next depends on the team's development and new opportunities.

Rekkles emphasized that he will fully focus on the training process in the coming months:

My commitment is to give my all for Los Ratones and achieve success together.

Due to the upcoming move and his high sensitivity to stress, he will also temporarily cease activity on Twitch and YouTube:

It's hard for me to do everything at once — because of autism spectrum disorder, I get overwhelmed quickly. It's important to conserve energy and focus on giving 110% every day.

Concluding his post, he thanked fans for their support and expressed hope that the audience will continue to follow the team's performances in the new year.

Larsson's teammate, Simon "Baus" Hofverberg, also commented on his future. He hasn't ruled out continuing his esports career but isn't ready to give up streaming entirely. LEC Versus 2026 will be Los Ratones ' first step at a new level after a year of dominance in the ERL scene.
