On December 6, the first day of the group stage at the KeSPA Cup 2025 concluded.

Fans witnessed several unexpected results as favorites stumbled and underdogs showed fighting spirit.

Cloud9 1:0 Gen.G Esports

Cloud9  kicked off the tournament with a dominant victory over a weakened Gen.G lineup — 24:6.  Blaber  and  APA  played a flawless match with identical stats of 8/0/8, taking control of the map from the start. Gen.G appeared uncertain, with no player scoring more than two kills.

DRX 1:0 OKSavingsBank BRION

DRX  confidently defeated last year's KeSPA Cup champions with a score of 23:9. Team leader ucal delivered an impressive performance with stats of 7.9/0.9/9.1, becoming a key player at all stages of the game.  OKSavingsBank BRION  failed to put up a fight and looked lackluster across all lanes.

Vietnam All-Stars 1:0 Gen.G Esports

Vietnam  pulled off a sensation by crushing Gen.G with a score of 28:4. Naviah scored 11/7/9, and the entire team showed excellent cohesion and aggression. Gen.G lost their second match in a row and couldn't demonstrate confident gameplay.

Hanwha Life Esports 1:0 Cloud9

Hanwha demonstrated the strength of their main roster by defeating  Cloud9  — 28:15.  Zeka  and  Gumayusi  were the driving force of the team, while Zeus provided stability in the top lane. Despite Thanatos 's activity, Cloud9 couldn't stop the opponent's onslaught.

BNK FEARX 1:0 Vietnam All-Stars

BNK FEARX ended the winning streak of the Vietnam team, finishing the match with a score of 31:10.  Diable  became the MVP of the match with stats of 7.9/2.9/6.0, and the team confidently controlled the map. Vietnam couldn't replicate the success of their first game.

Dplus KIA 1:0 DN Freecs

Dplus KIA  secured a confident victory over  DN Freecs  — 19:6. Smash played a flawless game with a result of 9.0/2.1/7.9, dominating his lane. DN Freecs couldn't handle the pressure and lost on all fronts.

Hanwha Life Esports 1:0 BNK FEARX

Hanwha secured their second win of the day, taking down BNK FEARX with a score of 35:15. Kanavi and Zeka showcased high individual form, while Delight provided map control. Despite Diable 's efforts, the team couldn't withstand Hanwha's attacking pace.

DN Freecs 1:0 KT Rolster

DN Freecs continued their strong performance by defeating  KT Rolster  with a score of 24:8. Enosh was the key player of the match with a result of 11/0/7, completely controlling the top lane. KT, playing with an academic roster, couldn't counter the strong team play of the opponent.

Nongshim RedForce 1:0 Team Liquid

Nongshim claimed victory in one of the most intense matches of the day — 20:25 in 50 minutes. Despite the statistical advantage of  Team Liquid , it was Scout and Taeyoon who secured the win for NS with excellent late-game play. The American club displayed high damage and teamwork but made critical mistakes at key moments.
