mezii : "Winning never gets boring"

Time: 2025-08-27 09:48 (UTC)

Vitality remains one of the strongest teams, although they have yet to win a trophy since the summer break. Three consecutive semi-final appearances confirm that the team is maintaining a high level, but fans are expecting the dominance that was evident at the beginning of the year.

At the same time, mezii shared with BLAST that there is no concern among the players and that the process of regaining form is going according to plan.

"We are improving with each tournament"
The British rifler admitted that the start of the second half of the season was always going to be difficult. He explained that replicating the near-perfect first half was unrealistic and that the team’s focus has been on steady progress rather than instant results. According to him, the improvements are clear with every event.

We always knew it would be hard to replicate the success we had in the first part of the season and coming out of the player break it can be hard to continue the momentum. I feel we are improving with each game/tournament but yeah, it's taking a little longer to get warmed up and back on the same page.

On Spirit ’s rise
With Spirit gaining momentum and looking stronger with every event, many see them as a growing threat to Vitality ’s dominance. mezii acknowledged their firepower but pointed out that Vitality still hold the upper hand in direct matchups. He stressed that the team has the confidence and the experience to deal with them.

They are definitely improving and have incredible firepower in their team but we have a pretty good record against them and we can 100% match them in firepower so we are always confident going up against Spirit .

London calling
One of the highlights for mezii this season could be competing in front of his home crowd at BLAST Open London . He said such opportunities are rare and that the atmosphere of playing in front of UK fans always gives him an extra boost. He also recalled his previous appearance in London as a memorable moment despite the result.

"It would be amazing, there aren’t many chances at all to play in front of a home crowd so of course it would mean a lot to qualify for the lan and have the UK support. Even though we were not successful at the last BLAST London it was such a great experience to play there."

What’s left to achieve?
Having already made history as the first British player to win a CS Major, mezii could easily relax, but that is not the case. He emphasized that both he and Vitality remain motivated to keep winning and to establish a lasting legacy. In his eyes, the real goal is to build a true Vitality era.

Winning never gets boring and even though the first season was crazy and we accomplished almost everything, me and the team are still hungry to continue that and we want to win even more and really cement our legacy and a Team Vitality era.
