apEX : This may be the first time that ZywOo has been in a slump for a long time. There is no clear top 1 team now.

Ahead of the team's upcoming BLAST London Open finals, Vitality team leader apEX gave an interview.

He discussed the team's recent burnout, their current form, and their renewed push for a championship title.

Q: apEX , you played the online group stage first. It seemed like a bit of a chaotic period for you, but you ultimately advanced directly to the semifinals. Your match against FaZe was a close call, but now you've made it to the semifinals. Can you describe the group stage?

A: Well, generally speaking, we lost a map in almost every match. It wasn't very impressive, but remember, this was our seventh consecutive week of competing, so it was a bit tiring. We also had absolutely no time to practice and improve. So, while our performance wasn't great, we were still satisfied with advancing directly to the semifinals.

As for the match against FaZe, as you said, it was a very unpredictable outcome. We lost all the pistol rounds in the first two maps, which is really hard to do in Counter-Strike. But fortunately, we played very well in the third map and ultimately won the game. The final victory was very convincing.

Q: Do you think that advancing directly to the semifinals is more of an advantage or a disadvantage for you? After all, you might have wanted to play a few more games to warm up and adapt to the pace of the tournament.

A: It's an advantage no matter what, because if we lose in the quarterfinals, we're eliminated. So it's definitely a good thing, and we've been in this situation many times before. Last season, and the season before that, we always advanced directly to the semifinals. So it's no problem, and we can also use this time to practice. It's always good to have more time to prepare.
