Yaroslav “NS” Kuznetsov said that we should not wait for the release of the full Battle Pass 2025. Instead, Valve may release a new global event similar to Crownfall.

The streamer and former cybersports player explained what Valve has transformed Battle Pass into during a broadcast on twitch :

“They did Crownfall last year, and they're going to do exactly the same thing this year. Not in the sense that the event will be the same - maybe it will be different. The very fact is that they'll do an event, for six months at least, which is the Battle Pass. And it will definitely be, because it's a very good way to make money. It will have nothing to do with The International - forget about that already. And it should come out sometime in the early summer. I think when they release it, it'll be a reason to get into Dota 2 and watch it and maybe play it”

NS explained that Valve has abandoned the idea of a classic battle pass and transformed it into a long event that can monetize Dota 2 well. According to him, the event will last about half a year and will not be directly related to The International.

The streamer also noted that the event could start sometime in early summer and believes that it will be a reason for many players to return to Dota 2 again.
