Q: What AD skin do you think is a must-buy?

Ruler : I think the Pulsefire EZ before the rework must be bought, and now it’s Invictus Gaming Kaisa.

Q: Why don't you use the Corgi Kuchi skin?

Ruler : After using it, I feel that Corki's body is very heavy and his skills are not accurate, so I don't use this skin much.

Q: What are the most powerful words for you?

Ruler : You've gained muscle, huh? Something like that. Because I'm working out, and that gives me strength. Just kidding. I used to have fair skin, but it suddenly got really bad. It's not like you can just spend money and your skin will get better. Don't tell me that, because I really spent a lot of money. My dad also had bad skin when he was a kid; it's genetic.

Q: My skin will get better no matter what I do VS I won’t gain weight no matter what I eat?

Ruler : I won’t gain weight no matter what I eat, but my skin is already bad.

Q: Between operation and brain power, which one do you think you are better at?

Ruler : I consider myself a brain-based player. Everyone thinks League of Legends is a mechanical game, and while both are certainly important, I believe brain power is most important. Skill accuracy and other things rely on mechanical skills, League of Legends relies on mental skills. You have to predict your opponent and then use your skills, but things like instant reaction rely on mechanical skills.

Q: The weather has been hot and humid lately. How are you managing your health?

Ruler : I’ve been exercising regularly lately, working hard to stay healthy, and I’ve lost a lot of weight.

Q: Please use five words to describe your resolution for the rest of the year.

Ruler : I'm just having fun playing. Talking about winning is so cliché. I believe you have to enjoy the game to achieve good results, so I have to work hard. I believe you can only win if you have fun playing.

Q: The Ruler fried rice at GGX ( Generation Gaming internet cafe) is the best. Do you like kimchi fried rice?

Ruler : I really love kimchi fried rice. It's really delicious, but it's so fattening that I can't eat it often. GGX has a lot of items named after players, so go try them. If I could make it for everyone one day, I would. I prefer using spam. If I had to choose between Tuna and spam, I'd choose spam over Tuna . Pork belly is my top choice. I don't usually use spam in kimchi fried rice, but sausage, which I like to put in my kimchi fried rice. Do you think spam or pork belly is delicious these days? When I was younger, I preferred sausage over cheese because I had to control my weight. Omelettes have always been great; they're not only delicious but also very healthy.

Q: What is the happiest moment in your career?

Ruler : I was really happy about the Asian Games, and I was also really happy when I won the 2023 MSI. Actually, I chose to skip the 2022 Asian Games to focus on the league, and we won the league championship. After that, I transferred to JD Gaming . I had actually given up the Asian Games when I transferred to JD Gaming , but the recruitment notice stated that players playing in overseas regions could be selected based on their performance. At the time, I thought, "What the hell? I'm so lucky," and I played. After we won the Spring Split, I thought, "Wow, we actually won the championship," and then I went to the MSI. I actually thought we wouldn't win the MSI, and I thought the LCK would win. But the moment we defeated T1 , I felt like we would win. Then, Bilibili Gaming suddenly defeated every LCK team and advanced to the finals. I was like, "What the hell?" Because we had never lost to Bilibili Gaming , I felt like we would win. After winning, when I lifted the championship trophy, I was so happy, I can't describe it in words. At that point, I took a taxi to catch my flight back to Korea , and my agency contacted me and told me to check the news. When the news about Ruler (being selected as the national team's representative for the Asian Games) came to life, the memories of his career flashed through my mind, and I can't describe how I felt. The moment I saw the news in the taxi, I felt incredibly happy. 2023 was incredibly tiring, and the schedule was incredibly demanding, but it was also incredibly rewarding. I'm also incredibly grateful to everyone who supported us in 2023. What about this year's schedule? It's been incredibly difficult, like hell, with absolutely no time to rest.

Q: How would you like to celebrate after winning the World Championship?

Ruler : Kissing the trophy, because it’s been a long time since I last did this celebration. It’s been a long time since I last saw the World Championship trophy.

Q: What are your hobbies outside of gaming? Or do you have any hidden talents?

Ruler : As I said before, cooking. I don't have any talent, unfortunately.

Q: You are very lucky this year. Which hero do you want to choose as the champion skin?

Ruler : Kaisa, Yunana, and Zeli—I'd like to choose these. It would be great if I could win Finals MVP and get another skin. I have to choose good-looking heroes; that's the only way they'll sell well.

Q: Have you ever cooked for your Generation Gaming teammates?

Ruler : Unfortunately, no. If I had cooked for them, the reaction would have been great. I wanted to cook for my teammates, but I didn't have the chance.
