Time: 2025-12-18 15:30 (UTC)

At a press conference held on December 18 at the LoL Park LCK arena in Jongno-gu, Seoul , Sang Hyeok " faker " Lee shared his thoughts on winning the 2025 LoL World Championship and the reasons for extending his contract until 2029.

“It's great that T1 offered me such good terms. Personally, I would like to remain a source of inspiration for my fans over the next four years of my professional career. As a professional gamer, I feel that there is still a lot for me to learn and areas to develop. I strive for constant improvement. That's why I decided to play for a long time.”

Regarding his life after 2029, he said:

“I'm also curious about what's next. I don't have a clear plan for life after my career ends. However, thanks to professional gaming, I have gained diverse and personally valuable experiences. I don't know exactly what choice I will make in the future, but I'm sure it will be meaningful.”

Speaking about his goal during the contract period, faker emphasized:

"My goal is to win, but regardless of the outcome, I want to fully realize my potential. While developing gaming skills is a priority, leadership also holds great significance. Despite progress, I still see room for improvement. So I will work hard both in and out of the game."

When asked if he had a rival over the past 13 years, he replied:

“Lately, it's been Chovy . It's enjoyable to play against him. He has demonstrated outstanding skills. Watching him motivates me to develop.”

When asked what advice he would give to 17-year-old Lee Sang Hyeok, he smiled and replied:

"I don't think I have anything to say. When I was just starting, I didn't expect ready-made answers and simply went into professional esports. I learned everything from my own experience, overcoming difficulties as they arose. I'll just be cheering for you."

At the end of the interview, faker expressed gratitude to his fans, emphasizing:

"Certainly, my behavior played a role in making me an icon, but even more important is the immense support from my fans. It's thanks to this support that I've managed to create a positive image. My duty and responsibility are to cultivate the desire to give back to my supporters."

faker , along with  T1 , won the KeSPA Cup 2025. In addition to the team's victory, Lee Sang Hyeok was personally recognized: he was chosen as one of the "Stars" for the KeSPA Esports Hall of Fame 2025 by fan voting
