Nongshim RedForce defeated Hanwha Life Esports , marking one of the biggest surprises of the day. The team had the upper hand in team fights and objective control throughout the game. The match MVP was Ye Chan " Scout " Lee, who finished with a 5.9 / 1.0 / 11.5 KDA, 25.4K Damage, and 477 GPM.

DRX vs T1

DRX fell to T1 in the group stage match, managing to challenge the series favorite. DRX looked competitive in the early and mid-game phases, but T1 better capitalized on their opportunities in crucial team fights. The match MVP was Sang Hyuk " faker " Lee, who ended the game with a 4.2 / 1.8 / 6.5 KDA, dealt 21.9K Damage, and earned 452 GPM.

On January 21, two group stage matches are scheduled for the LCK Cup 2026, starting at 9:00 AM CET and 11:30 AM CET. In the first match of the day,  Dplus KIA  will play against Nongshim RedForce , and in the second match, DRX will face DN SOOPers.

The LCK Cup 2026 is taking place from January 14 to March 1, 2026, in South Korea and serves as a preseason tournament for LCK teams. There is no cash prize pool in the competition—the top two teams at the end of the tournament will earn spots in the international tournament First Stand 2026.
