The second qualifying tournament in the American region is coming to an end, and only 3 of the most interesting matches are left. Tonight, there were two matches in the lower bracket, as a result of which the audience learned which teams left the tournament and lost their chance to compete for a slot at the Masters.
G2 Esports vs 100 Thieves
In the first match, we were waiting for a clash between the favorites of the region G2 and a lesser opponent, 100 Thieves . Although the level of the teams is quite different, the victory was very difficult for G2. Despite the easy first map of Haven with a score of 13:4, 100 Thieves took the initiative in the second Split and won with a score of 14:12. The outcome of the match was determined in the additional rounds of the Pearl map, and in the end, G2, although not without problems, became the winners with a score of 16:14.
Evil Geniuses vs KRU Esports
The second match was a less intense battle between KRU and EG, and it ended on two maps. Evil Geniuses won the first Lotus map with a score of 14:12, after which they won the Icebox map with a score of 13:11 without an additional round.
As a result of the matches, Evil Geniuses and G2 Esports advance to the next round, where they will meet each other on May 3 to fight for the last slot at Masters Toronto 2025. 100 Thieves and KRU Esports, in turn, leave the event in 5th-6th place and without earning any prizes.
VCT 2025: Americas Stage 1 takes place from March 21 to May 4. As part of the tournament, 12 teams will compete for three slots at VCT 2025: Masters Toronto and Americas Points, which are necessary for further qualification for VALORANT Champions.
