Tejo became the strongest initiator and one of the top agents in VALORANT after being introduced in one of the recent major updates — 10.0. He gained popularity not only in ranked matches but also on the professional scene, where he currently holds over 50% pick rate across all four competitive regions. With the upcoming changes, his pick rate is likely to drop significantly, and another initiator may take his place at the top. Here's the full list of changes Tejo will receive:
Armageddon (X): Cost increased from 8 to 9.
Stealth Drone (C): Cost increased from 300 to 400.
Special Delivery (Q): Cost reduced from 300 to 200.
Guided Salvo (E):
1 missile per charge, 2 charges total.
First charge is free, second charge costs 150.
Range reduced from 55m to 45m.
Missile recharge removed.

Sweet, I really like these changes. You’ll have to think about how to use the missiles instead of just spamming them blindly. It’ll also have a big impact on post-plant situations — you’ll either have to save the missiles or use them for entry, but not both. Baiting out missiles will become more important too. Nice job, Riot — great changes.
There’s only one map where I think he’ll still be viable after the changes, and that one (Fracture) is getting removed from the pool. Goodbye, Tejo. Maybe they should’ve kept the missile recharge but dropped the damage to 50.

They do realize no one is going to play him now, right? What kind of balance is this? It’s not like we have 100 agents — you can’t just remove one from the game entirely.
Funny — first they made everyone play Tejo, now they’re making everyone stop… I’m still happy. This agent should’ve never been added in the first place.
VALORANT patch 10.09 is scheduled to release in two weeks, around May 15. Most likely, the Tejo nerfs won’t be the only changes coming in the next update.
