The first and most important update will be Valorant's transition to Unreal Engine 5. This will give developers more opportunities and should improve the game's system component. According to the developers themselves, the update will be larger than usual, but after that, Valorant will take up half as much space on your disk.

We have updated our game engine from Unreal Engine 4.27 to Unreal Engine 5.3. This has no direct impact on your gaming experience, except for a slight performance improvement, but it adds a lot of value for the development team in terms of improving the game in the future. The size of this patch will be larger because we are updating the engine, but one of the benefits is that the installation size of VALORANT will be half the size on your hard drive. After this patch, the download size will return to normal.

Patch 11.02, which will transition the game to Unreal Engine 5, will be released in Valorant today or tomorrow, depending on the region.
