The VCT 2025: Americas Stage 2 playoffs are gaining momentum, and yesterday two quarterfinal matches took place in the upper bracket. G2 Esports played against 100 Thieves and Leviatan played against Cloud9 , and below we briefly summarize the results of both series.

Leviatan vs Cloud9
The duel between Leviatan and Cloud9 stretched over three maps. The first map, Corrode, ended with a 13:10 victory for Cloud9 . Leviatan then managed to even the series by winning Haven, also 13:10. The fate of the match was decided on Lotus, where Cloud9 proved stronger, winning 13:11 and ultimately taking the series 2:1. Okeanos was named MVP of the match with impressive stats of 66/48/22.

G2 Esports vs 100 Thieves
In the second quarterfinal, G2 Esports defeated 100 Thieves 2:0 without much trouble. On the first map, Sunset, G2 won 13:4, and on Haven, they closed the series with a 13:5 victory. The best player of the match was jawgemo , who had stats of 43/20/8 and was the main driving force behind G2's victory.

As a result of the matches, G2 and Cloud9 advance to the upper bracket semifinals, where they will play the next matches against Sentinels and NRG on August 23 for the right to advance to the final. Leviatan and 100 Thieves fall into the lower bracket, where they will battle the other two teams on August 24 for the right to continue their journey in the tournament.
