BBL PCIFIC emerged victorious in the Turkish derby against Eternal Fire in the grand final of Challengers League 2025 EMEA #1, bringing them closer to securing a slot for the main event of the year – EMEA Ascension.

Despite 12 participants from five different Challengers leagues, the grand final came down to Eternal Fire and BBL PCIFIC , the only two Turkish teams represented in the tournament. This highlights Turkey 's continued dominance at the tier-2 level, while BBL PCIFIC once again proves to be one of the strongest teams at this level. They also reinforce the idea that they deserved a VCT slot in 2024, which was taken from them by Apeks , who won the EMEA Ascension 2024 grand final.

The Challengers League 2025 EMEA #1 grand final was played in a best-of-five format, but the winner was decided in just four maps. The dominance of BBL PCIFIC was evident from the very first map, Lotus, where they secured a flawless 13-0 victory. Eternal Fire managed to take only one map in response, leading to a 3-1 final score in favor of BBL PCIFIC .

The Challengers League 2025 EMEA #1 took place from March 3 to March 9, featuring the top 12 teams from various Challengers leagues competing in an online format for Ascension Points. These points will determine which teams qualify for EMEA Ascension 2025.
