On the second day of the fifth week of the group stage of VCT 2025: Americas Stage 2, the final matches took place. Evil Geniuses managed to defeat FURIA, keeping their playoff hopes alive, while Sentinels continued their winning streak by beating 2GAME Esports and solidifying their lead in Group Alpha.

FURIA vs Evil Geniuses
The first match of the day was between FURIA and Evil Geniuses . The series ended with a 2-0 score in favor of EG. On the map Corrode, Evil Geniuses secured the win (13-6), and on Ascent, the team was again stronger (13-9), achieving a final score of 2-0.

The best player of the match was Jacob “yay” Whitaker. His average ACS for the series was 300, which is 30% higher than his average over the past 6 months. 

2GAME Esports vs Sentinels
In the second match of the day, Sentinels faced off against 2GAME Esports. The series concluded with a 2-1 victory for Sentinels . The first map, Sunset , went to 2GAME Esports (13-9), but on Lotus (13-4) and Haven (13-4), Sentinels turned the tide and secured a 2-1 win.

The MVP of the match was Marshall “n4rrate” Massey, who performed with an ACS of 245 — 14% higher than his average result over the past six months. 

VCT 2025: Americas Stage 2 is taking place from July 18 to September 1 in the USA. The tournament features 12 teams competing for a prize pool of $250,000 and VCT points necessary for qualifying for VALORANT Champions.
