NRG secure the final slot at VALORANT Champions 2025

Time: 2025-08-30 06:44 (UTC)

NRG claimed victory over Cloud9 to secure the last spot from the Americas region for the upcoming VALORANT Champions 2025. At the same time, G2 Esports managed to take revenge on Sentinels . Both matches were part of VCT 2025: Americas Stage 2.

G2 Esports vs. Sentinels
G2 Esports had the chance to avenge their group stage loss to Sentinels , which they suffered while playing with a substitute. Ahead of the upper bracket final, Nathan "leaf" Orf returned to the starting lineup and helped the team claim a 2:0 win (Bind 13:8, Sunset 13:9).

The best player of the match was, surprisingly, leaf himself. He seemed to have lost no form during his recovery, racking up 35 kills on anchors with 29 deaths. His ADR stood at 161 and ACS at 241 — even 4% better on average than his performances before the break.

Cloud9 vs. NRG
The two teams battled for the final Champions 2025 slot from the Americas, and with a 2:1 win over Cloud9 (Haven 10:13, Corrode 13:2, Lotus 13:10), NRG became the fourth team from the region to qualify for the upcoming World Championship.

The MVP of the match was Adam "mada" Pampuch, who dominated Cloud9 on Corrode. Across three maps he recorded 55 kills and 41 deaths, with 161 ADR and 249 ACS — enough to carry his team to qualification for the biggest tournament of the year. Detailed match statistics are available here.
