CCT Imposes Fines on Players for Refusing to Turn On Cameras

Time: 2025-06-20 17:09 (UTC)

CCT tournament organizers have updated the rules: now, refusing to use a camera can result in a loss of prize money or even a match forfeit. Previously, this rule existed but was not as strict.

Every participant in an online match is required to turn on their camera at least 20 minutes before the start. Between maps, it can be turned off, but only for a short break — no longer than five minutes.

If 1–2 players from the lineup are not on camera, the team loses 5% of their prize money. For 3–4 players, it's 15%. If all or nearly all participants are off-camera, they face not only a fine but also a serious disciplinary warning.

In the worst-case scenario, the team may face technical disqualification. This will occur if players completely refuse to turn on their cameras, even though they are used solely for fairness control and not broadcasted.
