Four teams have already been eliminated from the FISSURE Playground 1 international LAN tournament, which is taking place in Belgrade, Serbia. After two defeats in the group stage, Wildcard, Heroic , Rare Atom and Virtus.pro left the competition. This is a serious blow for each of the teams, both in terms of rankings and morale.
Wildcard — a complete failure for the American organization
For Wildcard, this tournament was yet another testament to their poor form on the international stage. The North American team first lost to GamerLegion 1:2, and then lost to FURIA Esports in the knockout match, also with a score of 0:2. Almost no maps won, problems with discipline on the server, and generally weak teamwork all led to a predictable elimination after just two matches.
This result confirms Wildcard's old problem: compared to teams from Europe and Brazil, the team looks unstable, and there are not enough impressive individual performances from players to change the game.
Heroic — collapse after lineup changes
Heroic also failed to show competitive play. In the first match, they lost to BIG , and then lost to BetBoom Team . After a series of lineup changes and problems in the first half of 2025, many hoped for at least some improvement. But the result speaks for itself: Heroic — without a single victory and eliminated from the tournament at an early stage.
This result was yet another wake-up call about serious structural problems within the organization, which cannot be solved even after several months of searching for the ideal five.
Rare Atom — too weak against European rivals
The hopes of the Asian region — Rare Atom — once again failed to rise to the challenge on the international stage. In their first match, they lost to pain , and then lost to 3DMAX . Their defeat on Ancient against the French was particularly painful: Rare Atom lost the map 13:1. This is further proof that even with a well-played first half, the team is unable to keep up the pace until the end.
Virtus.pro — a BIG name, poor results
Virtus.pro was perhaps the biggest disappointment of the group stage. The team of experienced players lost to TyLoo in the first match and to MIBR in the decisive match, again 0:2. Despite the large amount of investment in the roster and the expectations of the fans, the result showed that the team is in serious crisis.

FISSURE Playground 1 is the first LAN tournament from the organizers of FISSURE in partnership with BetBoom. The competition will take place from July 15 to 20 in Belgrade, Serbia. Sixteen teams are participating in the tournament, divided into four groups of four teams each. The format is GSL, with all group stage matches played in a bo3 format.
The top two teams from each group will advance to the playoffs, and in the Single Elimination stage, we will see bo3 in the quarterfinals and semifinals, as well as bo5 in the grand final.
