OG replaces TyLoo at BLAST Bounty S2

Time: 2025-07-23 16:09 (UTC)

BLAST organizers have announced that OG will replace TyLoo at the upcoming BLAST Bounty 2025 Season 2 tournament, which kicks off on August 5 with an online stage. This news came as a surprise to fans, as TyLoo , who recently won the FISSURE Playground 1 title, will not be participating in the European event. The reason for their withdrawal from the tournament has not been disclosed, but the Chinese team has been in Europe for a long time, demonstrating a high level of play.

Context of TyLoo 's performances
TyLoo , led by Yi “JamYoung” Yang, is currently participating in IEM Cologne, where their first test ended in defeat against Virtus.pro . This tournament in Germany will end just two days before the start of Bounty S2, which may have affected their plans. Despite their triumph at FISSURE Playground 1, the team seems to have struggled to adapt to the new schedule or other unknown circumstances that forced them to withdraw.

A new chance for OG
OG received an invitation thanks to their position in the Global VRS standings, becoming next in line after the spring season, which they finished with a promising result at BLAST.tv Austin Major. After that, there were changes in the team: Adam “adamb” Ångström replaced Christian “Buzz” Andersen. The new European lineup has already participated in two online qualifiers with adamb, winning one of them, which proves their readiness for the challenges at Bounty S2.

Tournament structure
Bounty S2 will be held in two stages: an online part and a LAN final. A total of 32 teams will compete in two online elimination series, with the eight undefeated teams earning tickets to the LAN finals in Malta . This format promises intense competition, and the replacement of TyLoo with OG adds intrigue to the upcoming competition.

Fans are actively discussing this replacement, expressing both disappointment at TyLoo 's absence and optimism about OG 's performance. The community is waiting to see how the new lineup will cope with the challenges and is also hoping for official comments from TyLoo regarding their decision. The tournament promises to be an interesting test for all participants.
