The MongolZ Crowned Esports World Cup 2025 Champions After Defeating aurora

The MongolZ confidently defeated aurora with a score of 3:0 in the grand final of the Esports World Cup 2025, claiming the championship title. The team showcased a dominant performance across all three maps, leaving their opponents with virtually no chance for a comeback.

Match Progression
The first map, Mirage, ended with a 16:14 score in favor of The MongolZ . The match was extremely tense: aurora held on until the last rounds, but at the crucial moment, it was the Mongolian team that kept their cool and sealed the map. On Dust2, The MongolZ appeared much more confident—after a close first half of 7:5, they managed to press their advantage in the second half and won 13:9, extending their lead in the series. The decisive map, Nuke, turned into a rout: The MongolZ left aurora with no chance, securing a 13:4 victory. Their aggressive style and coordinated actions allowed them to swiftly close the final with a 3:0 map score.

The MVP of the grand final was Azbayar “Senzu” Munkhbold, who delivered impressive stats—61 kills, 44 deaths, and an ADR of 94. His consistent performance in critical moments provided his team with a significant advantage and helped confidently lead the series to victory.

The Esports World Cup 2025 is taking place from August 20 to 24 in Riyadh, at the Boulevard Riyadh City arena. Sixteen of the best teams are competing for a prize pool of $1,250,000.
