Ahead of the BLAST London Open finals, G2 sniper SunPayus spoke. He discussed his trip to London , his match against Spirit , and his new G2 teammates.

Q: How are you finding London so far?

A: It was a bit rainy. But I really enjoyed London . At least I saw things I don't normally see. For example, there were so many houses close together, and the neighborhood atmosphere felt great. I can't really put my finger on it, but it was definitely different.

Q: That’s great, it sounds very atmospheric.

A: Yes.

Q: What is your favourite restaurant in London ?

A: I’m still exploring and haven’t had time to discover it yet.

Q: Okay. People usually recommend Nando's (South African roast chicken chain), maybe you could give it a try?

A: Nando's, I want to try it!

Q: Okay, let's talk about the tournament. How's it going so far? You had a great match against Spirit , they're a tough opponent. What were your thoughts before the match?

A: We've played them once before and lost. While we had our moments that time, they clearly played better, and we found a lot of areas for improvement. Of course, we still struggled a bit on Mirage this time, not finding a completely effective approach, but overall, we went into the game with the right mindset. I can get a little impatient sometimes, but that's okay; it happens. I adjusted after each map, and ultimately, Ancient went really smoothly.

Q: Indeed! You said it was tough, but you won 13-1 at Ancient . Facing a world-class team, how did this victory impact your confidence?

A: I think our team always plays with confidence and a very stable mentality. And remember, it was just a one-map victory. Spirit is one of the best teams in the world. I don't know if they were out of form or if our calls and gunplay were just perfect, but sometimes that happens.
