Virtus.pro issued an announcement, the demotion of captain Jame .

Just now, VP CS2 team captain Jame was moved to the bench.

Virtus.pro CEO said:

" Jame is a legend at Virtus.pro and in the entire CS scene. He has put in a tremendous amount of effort in our ultra-competitive environment. However, sooner or later, any resource will be exhausted, especially at such a frenetic pace.

After failing to achieve our goals at the Shanghai Major, a roster change was inevitable. The discussion was long, thorough, and difficult. Ultimately, we came to the conclusion, together with the players and coaches, that Jame is currently unable to fulfill both the key roles of captain and sniper, and therefore, moving him to the bench is the best option so that we can calmly consider all viable options to promote the future development of the team and Jame personally.

I assure our fans that we will find the best solution for the players and the organization in this situation. The best decisions are often the hardest, but we will stick to making them in an atmosphere of openness and sincerity.”

Jame also expressed his thoughts on leaving VP:

“I want to express my deep gratitude to the entire Virtus.pro organization, where I spent many unforgettable years! This was the most successful period of my career, where I learned a lot, met many interesting people and won important trophies.

I sincerely thank everyone on the team, including all the players, managers, coaches, and fans, for your support, inspiration, and belief in me. We have been through many challenges together, and each of you has contributed to our achievements. Thank you for sharing your experiences with me and helping me grow both professionally and personally.

I wish the Bears continued success, success and growth!

We wish him all the best in the future. Thank you for everything you have done for us, Captain!

As one of the options for Jame 's career to continue to develop, the club and the player are willing to consider transfer offers from other teams.

Jame stated on his personal social media that he will do a live broadcast (or video) at 19:00 Beijing time to chat with fans.

Jame joined Virtus.pro in December 2019 and has since won several top tournaments, including the most important 2022 IEM Rio Major, and other top tournaments Flashpoint Season 2, cs_summit 7, ESL Challenger Atlanta 2023.

He also won two MVP titles and was selected twice in the HLTV annual best player list (TOP10 in 2021 and TOP20 in 2022)

Jame joined VP in December 2019 and has been demoted until now. Jame has contributed a rating of 1.15 in his VP career.
