NAVI Junior Withdraws from The International 2025 CQ [Updated]

Time: 2025-05-18 12:15 (UTC)

Update as of 16:00 CEST: To avoid scheduling conflicts between tournaments, NAVI Junior has decided to participate in the open qualifiers for The International 2025 in Western Europe (WEU). Comment from the NAVI manager:

PGL did everything possible to resolve the issue for Junior.

Junior will play TI in the WEU region through the open qualifiers. In all other scenarios, there were date overlaps.

Let's wish the guys luck and support them to the fullest in all qualifiers.

Original News:

Tournament operator PGL, which is organizing The International 2025, announced that the team NAVI Junior has withdrawn from the regional qualifiers for Eastern Europe.

This decision is due to overlapping tournament schedules: the qualifiers for the Esports World Cup in Western Europe coincide with the dates of the TI 2025 selection in Eastern Europe. Because of this, the team cannot physically participate in both competitions.

As of now, there has been no official statement from the NAVI club, but PGL's announcement confirms that the youth squad of "Born to Win" will not compete for a slot in Valve's main tournament of the year.

This decision opens up an additional opportunity for other teams in the region to compete for a place at The International 2025, but at the same time, it deprives the qualifiers of one of the potentially strong contenders.
