BOOM Esports secured their slot at The International 2025 by defeating Talon Esports with a 2:0 score in the lower bracket final of the Southeast Asia closed qualifier. The team became the second from the region to qualify for the year's main tournament, which will take place in the fall in Hamburg.
The match was completely under BOOM Esports ' control. The team dominated both maps, showcasing coordinated macro play and precise draft execution. JaCkkY stood out in particular — the carry for BOOM Esports delivered a phenomenal performance on Terrorblade, finishing the decisive map with a 13/2/6 stat line and over 42,000 damage dealt.
JaCkkY was named the MVP of the series — his consistent late-game play and objective control provided BOOM with the necessary advantage. Armel also deserves mention for maintaining the game's tempo in the mid-match and helping the team control the map.
The Southeast Asia closed qualifier for TI 2025 runs from June 13 to 17. Two slots were up for grabs in the region, and BOOM Esports became the last team to join the participants of The International. Talon Esports conclude their season, unable to replicate last year's success.
