On July 8, the group stage of the Esports World Cup 2025 for Dota 2 kicked off in Riyadh. On the first day of the tournament, in a round-robin format, eight matches took place: Team Liquid , Aurora Gaming, Tundra Esports , and PARIVISION secured confident victories. The remaining matches ended in a draw. A total of 16 teams are participating in the competition, divided into four groups — the strongest will continue to fight for the playoffs based on the stage results.

Group C
Group C stands out with two confident victories. Aurora Gaming defeated Team Yandex , and Tundra Esports was stronger than Virtus.Pro — both matches ended with a score of 2:0. These teams lead the table with 3 points, while their opponents remain without any points.
Group D
Team Liquid easily handled Shopify Rebellion (2:0) and topped the Group D table. In the second match, PARIVISION defeated Heroic with the same score and shares the lead with Liquid. Shopify Rebellion and Heroic occupy the lower ranks without any points.
