American organization M80 has officially exited the VALORANT discipline and will not continue competing in VALORANT Challengers 2025 North America: Stage 2. The announcement was made via the organization’s official X (formerly Twitter) account.
Despite a successful run that saw them qualify for the playoffs of Stage 2, M80 released two of their players — Anthony "okeanos" Nguyen and Eduardo "Sato" Sato — to Leviatán just before playoffs began. Shortly after, the organization announced a complete disband and its departure from the VALORANT scene. This decision comes despite M80 ’s strong performances, including two Ascension final appearances and recognition as one of the top teams in the region. However, internal challenges within the VALORANT ecosystem forced the organization to reassess its strategy.

The Challengers slot remains with the remaining players, who are now competing under a new name — “Chet’s Pets.” Their first match under this tag is scheduled for May 20.
As for M80 , their return to VALORANT remains uncertain. This marks a significant loss for the North American tier-2 scene, as M80 was one of the few major organizations supporting a full roster.
