In the lower bracket playoffs of the VCT 2025: Americas Stage 2, two quarterfinals took place. NRG and Cloud9 confidently secured victories in their series and continue to fight for a spot in the lower bracket finals. Leviatán and 100 Thieves concluded their tournament run, finishing in 7th-8th place and earning $25,000 each in prize money.

NRG vs. Leviatán
In the first match, NRG faced Leviatán. The teams played on Ascent (13:2 in favor of NRG) and Icebox (13:2 in favor of NRG). The series ended with a 2:0 score in favor of NRG.

In the second lower bracket quarterfinal, Cloud9 faced 100 Thieves . Cloud9 claimed victory on Haven (13:9) and Icebox (14:12). The series concluded with a 2:0 score in favor of Cloud9 .

The MVP of the match was Matthew “Cryocells” Pangaliban from 100 Thieves , despite the team's loss. His overall score was 287 ACS, which is 74% above the average over the last six months. 

The VCT 2025: Americas Stage 2 is taking place from July 18 to September 1 in the USA. During the event, 12 partner teams are competing for a prize pool of $250,000 and two slots at the Champions 2025.
