VCT Ascension EMEA 2025 will feature 8 teams instead of 6, with all matches played on stage in a LAN format. The update was announced by Tomek, Esports Product Manager for the EMEA region.

On his social media page on X, Tomek stated that VCT Ascension EMEA 2025 will undergo changes: the number of participating teams has been increased from 6 to 8, and the event will now have two finals. This adjustment comes as two clubs left the VCT league this year, which means special attention will be on the two decisive matches that will determine the slots for 2026. The tournament format will include two GSL groups followed by best-of-five matches for qualification into the league.

VCT Ascension EMEA 2025 will take place from September 18 to 26 in BerLIN at the Riot Games Arena in an offline setting. The tournament will award two spots in the most prestigious league of the EMEA region.
