Team Liquid Parts Ways with keiko After Two Years Together

Time: 2025-11-11 14:00 (UTC)

Team Liquid  announced the departure of Georgio "keiko" Sanassi — a player who became one of the most recognizable faces of the roster over two seasons.

For fans, this event symbolizes the beginning of a new era: Liquid continues a major overhaul ahead of the 2026 season.

Journey in Team Liquid and Role Changes

keiko joined Team Liquid after the 2023 season, transferring from  Apeks . In his debut year, he confidently took on the role of the main duelist, but the season was unsuccessful — Liquid finished Stage 2 2024 in eighth place in the region and did not make it to the international stages.

The situation changed in 2025 when Kamil "kamo" Fronckowiak joined the roster. From that point, keiko began also playing as a controller, handling smoke duties at the EMEA Kickoff. The team then showed strong results — finishing second, only behind the superstar lineup of  Team Vitality , which earned Liquid their first international qualification since 2023.

Return to the International Scene and Title

Throughout 2025, the Liquid roster constantly evolved — keiko alternated between playing as a duelist and a controller, remaining one of the team's leading figures. This season, Liquid qualified for all three international tournaments and ended the year with a victory at EMEA Stage 2 2025, reclaiming their status as a top team in the region.

The Team Liquid roster now looks like this:

  • Ayaz “nAts” Akhmetshin
  • Kamil “kamo” Fronckowiak

keiko's departure marks the end of an important chapter in Liquid's history. His versatility and leadership qualities became the foundation of the team's growth, and the player himself proved his ability to adapt to any role and meta changes.
