Time: 2025-07-12 07:00 (UTC)

The European Esports Championship 2025 with Counter-Strike 2 is in full swing in Kosovo — a prestigious LAN tournament among national teams, organized by the European Esports Federation (EEF) in conjunction with Federata Esports Kosova. After three days of fierce group competition, eight teams have been determined to continue the fight in the playoffs.

The playoffs begin with the quarterfinals, with all matches in Bo3 format. The grand final is scheduled for July 13, where the European champion will be determined.

Quarterfinal pairs

Kosovo vs Lithuania
Germany vs Latvia
Ukraine vs Bulgaria
Netherlands vs Denmark

What you need to know about the matches
Ukraine — Bulgaria

This is one of the most anticipated playoff pairs. The Ukrainians went through the group stage undefeated, demonstrating confident play, especially on the key maps Mirage and Ancient. The team includes players with experience on the international stage, including participants in RMR and Challenger tournaments. Bulgaria impressed with its comeback, advancing to the playoffs from a difficult group thanks to a victory over Hungary .

Kosovo — Lithuania

The tournament hosts are aiming to win in front of their home fans. In the group stage, they defeated Ireland and the Czech Republic , demonstrating cohesion and an aggressive style. Lithuania is a team that completely changed its style after a disastrous start and, thanks to victories in two decisive matches, managed to knock the favorites from Poland out of the tournament.

Germany Latvia

The teams are roughly equal in strength. Germany has an organized structure, while Latvia plays more individually, but is sometimes very dangerous in shooting. An even match is expected.

Netherlands — Denmark

The Danes are the favorites, with players who compete on the CS2 Tier 2 scene. The Netherlands, on the other hand, relies on the synergy of youth and experience. The match looks open, but Denmark has more arguments in its quest to reach the final.

Semifinals — July 12
Third place match and Grand Final — July 13
The winner will receive the trophy, a share of the prize pool, and the status of the best national CS2 team in Europe
The format of the European Esports Championship 2025 is a classic combination of a group stage and playoffs. At the start, 16 national teams were divided into 4 groups of 4 teams, where each team played each other in a Bo1 format. The top two teams from each group advanced to the playoffs. The playoff stage is held in a single elimination format, with all matches played in a best-of-three format.
