Dota 2 Bug with Combat Log in Fog Fixed

Time: 2025-06-24 07:00 (UTC)

Valve fixed a bug that allowed players to determine enemy actions through the combat log even without vision. Previously, a line about capturing an observer would appear in the battle log even if the enemy hero was in the fog of war. Now, the notification only appears when there is visibility. Despite this, technical errors still persist in the game.

What remains unaddressed:
Blood Grenade: When purchasing two grenades, health increases by only +50 instead of the expected +100. To get the correct value, one of the grenades needs to be dropped and picked up again.

Ember Spirit with Aghanim’s Shard: Does not gain a charge if an enemy dies nearby but is finished off by an ally.

Zeus — talent for +1 target for Heavenly Jump: In addition to its main function, it also gives +2 to attack speed slow. This effect is not listed in the ability description.
Chronosphere / Time Zone (Faceless Void): The radius only increases by +140, despite the description stating +200.

Prowler Shaman (neutral creep): Does not use the Petrify ability if its health is above 90%. The bug persists even after being tamed.

Demonic Archer (ranged neutral creep): Lacks the movement immunity that should be present according to patch 6.79. The melee creep has it.

Life Drain (Pugna), Mana Drain (Lion), Telekinesis (Rubick): Do not work inside the arena with the Blood Sport aspect. The only active ability is the aspect itself, which affects both enemies and allies.

Monkey King with the Blood Sport aspect: While inside the arena, the player cannot see allies, enemies, or Mars himself. Visibility is restored only upon purchasing a Black King Bar.

The major patch 7.39b was released on May 30 and introduced numerous balance changes. However, the accumulated bugs, which the community has been reporting for several months, remain unaddressed. There have been no official comments from Valve on these issues yet.
