Bilibili Gaming .Wei: We have issues with our understanding of the version or our own operations; I think we are still strong in Bo5

Time: 2024-10-09 13:30 (UTC)

Live broadcast on October 9th BLG lost to LNG and T1 in the Swiss round earlier; the club's current record is 1-2, and the next match will be against PSG.

BLG jungler Wei recently gave an interview to foreign media Sheep Esports, part of which is as follows:

Q: What do you think went wrong in the match against T1 ?

Wei: The crucial moment was the fight for the third dragon. We were prepared for the team fight and wanted to secure the objective, but the opponent successfully took the dragon. After that, we felt a lot of pressure, and the game collapsed.

Q: Why is the team in trouble? What led to the 1-2 record, and what changes do you need to make?

Wei: First, I think our understanding of the version is not very good, and we haven't been able to grasp it solidly. Additionally, our players' operations haven't reached the level we imagined. We need to pick some strong champions in the version and focus on our operations, then I think we can adjust back.

Q: This year has been like a roller coaster for you, from being at the bottom with RNG in the spring to winning the summer championship, and then joining one of the best teams in the world. Do you feel any extra pressure to prove you deserve the spot with Bilibili Gaming and at Worlds?

Wei: I don't think this will be my pressure because this is a rare and valuable opportunity for me. I will seize this opportunity at Worlds and adjust well.

Q: Two years ago, you played with bin in Royal Never Give Up , and now you are teammates again. You have a good relationship and often joke with each other. How does it feel to play with him again? Is it different from when you were in Royal Never Give Up , or is it similar?

Wei: We have both matured a lot, both in the game and in daily life. Compared to my experience two years ago, bin has really matured and is completely different from back then.

Q: You and bin have never lost a Bo5 match. Despite a slow start in the Swiss stage, do you have confidence in maintaining this record if you reach the knockout stage?

Wei: I believe if we can adjust from the Swiss round, our Bo5 is still very strong, and we will strive to keep our Bo5 unbeaten.

Q: Do you think your 1-2 score reflects the team's true strength? Are you frustrated with being in such a group?

Wei: We shouldn't be at a 1-2 score. We might have issues with version understanding or our own operations, but if we can adjust in time, I think we can go further.

Q: Should other 1-2 teams be afraid of facing you?

Wei: I think if everyone is 1-2, there's nothing to be afraid of or not afraid of. I think the most important thing is that as the number one seed, being 1-2, we need to adjust our state and climb up from the Swiss round.

Q: Is your personal goal still to win the World Championship?

Wei: Our entire team's dream is definitely to win the championship in the finals, but I think it's more important to adjust our current state because we are quite dangerous right now. After adjusting our state, we might know our future opponents.
