The Brazilian organization Imperial Esports has confirmed the signing of Felipe "skullz" Medeiros. He replaces the Portuguese player José "Shr" Gil, who was part of the roster for only a month and a half and is now on the bench.

Why Shr is leaving the roster
Shr joined the team in the summer, taking on the role of a rifler, although he previously played as a sniper for SAW. During this time, he played 51 maps and maintained a consistent level of performance. Together with the team, the Portuguese player participated in several regional championships but was unable to secure a permanent spot in the main lineup.

A new opportunity for skullz
The 23-year-old skullz was benched at FURIA Esports after being replaced by Mareks "YEKINDAR" Gaļinskis in April. Since then, he has appeared on the server only once — as a stand-in for FaZe at IEM Dallas, while rain missed matches due to the birth of his child.

Now, the Brazilian player gets a new opportunity with Imperial, where he will become an integral part of the revamped lineup.

Imperial's results and ambitions
For the club itself, this signing comes amidst a decent form: recently, Imperial qualified for the Asia Championship 2025 and won a LAN tournament on an aircraft carrier, earning $40,000. The team now aims to strengthen its roster and establish itself on the international stage.
