FaZe Benches EliGE

Time: 2025-08-22 10:41 (UTC)

The organization FaZe Clan has officially benched Jonathan "EliGE" Jablonowski. The American rifler joined the roster at the beginning of 2025, but the experiment with his integration did not yield the expected results for the team. The player remains under contract, and FaZe is currently exploring future options.

EliGE's Performance and Form in FaZe
Individually, EliGE appeared confident—during his time with the roster, he maintained an average rating of 6.3, which is a stable figure for a player of his caliber. However, on a team level, FaZe couldn't restore the balance they lost after Robin "ropz" Kool's departure.

The team only managed two somewhat notable results:

3rd place at PGL Bucharest
Quarterfinals at Austin Major
However, this was insufficient for an organization of such scale.

FaZe's Systemic Crisis
FaZe's problems began to surface in the spring part of the season. After ropz's departure, there was an imbalance between aggressive and passive roles in the lineup. EliGE is known for his dynamic playstyle, but in FaZe's already aggressive roster, this created certain challenges.

The situation worsened in the summer when FaZe benched Helvijs "broky" Saukants, even bringing in s1mple as a stand-in. The Latvian sniper eventually returned, but it did not bring stability.

After the summer break, the team was eliminated early in three consecutive major tournaments:

IEM Cologne
BLAST Bounty
Esports World Cup (EWC) in Riyadh
These failures were the last straw for the management.

Current FaZe Clan Roster
After the changes, FaZe has been left with the following active roster:

Finn "karrigan" Andersen
Håvard "rain" Nygaard
David "frozen" Čerňanský
Helvijs "broky" Saukants
Coach: Filip "NEO" Kubski

Benched: Jonathan "EliGE" Jablonowski

What's Next for FaZe and EliGE?
FaZe faces a tough choice: either keep EliGE as a rotation option or look for a new player to fill his spot. The organization has already shown a willingness to make radical moves in its transfer policy, and it's possible we might see new signings soon.

For Jablonowski himself, being benched in FaZe might be the beginning of a new chapter in his career. The American remains one of the most stable riflers on the scene, and there may be demand for him in both Europe and North America.
