Team Vitality advanced to the quarterfinals of the Esports World Cup 2025 after defeating Team Liquid in a best-of-three playoff series. The European powerhouse closed out the match with a 2:0 scoreline, eliminating the North American roster from the tournament.

The clash began on Mirage, where Vitality quickly established dominance with a strong 9:3 first half. Despite Liquid’s attempts to mount a comeback in the second half, the French-led roster held firm and sealed the map with a 13:11 victory.

The battle then moved to Dust2, where both teams played evenly at the start. Vitality managed to pull ahead with a score of 7:5 in the first half, and after switching sides, they continued to lead but lost their advantage and forced overtime, ultimately winning the remaining rounds they needed. The final score was 19:16, securing Vitality a complete victory in the series.
