Former NaVi operation revealed: StarLadder is facing financial difficulties in preparation for the Budapest Major

Time: 2025-09-03 16:00 (UTC)

According to internal information revealed by PrinzeWorld, a former Natus Vincere team operator, StarLadder encountered financial problems when organizing the CS2 Budapest Major event.

PrinzeWorld: "I heard from the taxi driver (note: the taxi driver was joking) that the tournament organizer StarLadder encountered financial problems when organizing the Major. If the top event of the year is really cancelled, it will be a serious matter."

StarLadder will be responsible for organizing the second CS2 Major event in 2025. This will be the organizer's return to the e-sports industry after a six-year absence. The last event it hosted was the 2019 StarLadder Berlin Major.

The 2025 StarLadder Budapest Major will be held in Hungary from November 24 to December 14. 32 teams from around the world will compete for a $1.25 million prize pool. Valve will not hold regional qualifiers for this event, and the 32 teams will be invited directly through VRS.
