Closed qualifiers for The International 2025 began on June 4 in South America and Eastern Europe. In other regions, the qualifiers will start later. Teams are competing for eight spots in the year's main tournament. Below are all the current qualification results by region.
South America
In the upper bracket, Edge defeated Heroic with a score of 2:1 to be the first to reach the grand final of the qualifiers. In the lower bracket, OG.LATAM eliminated Team Sin Compromiso (2:1) but then lost to Heroic in the lower bracket final (1:2). Thus, Heroic secured the second spot in the grand final, where they defeated Edge in a rematch with a score of 3:1 to win the qualification.
Eastern Europe
In the upper bracket final, Aurora Gaming defeated Natus Vincere with a score of 2:1 to advance to the grand final of the qualifiers. In the lower bracket, Cyber Goose progressed through Nemiga Gaming (2:0) and Natus Vincere (2:1), securing a spot in the final. In the decisive match of the tournament, Aurora Gaming confidently defeated Cyber Goose with a score of 3:0 to claim the spot.
Southeast Asia
In the upper bracket, Ivory will play against the winner of the Kopite vs Talon Esports match, while Execration will face the winner of the Team Nemesis vs BOOM Esports match. In the lower bracket, Tech Free Gaming is already one step away from the second round, InterActive Philippines are playing against Castawake , and two other teams are waiting for their opponents.
In the upper bracket, Talon Esports and Team Nemesis advance to the semifinals — Talon Esports defeated Kopite 2:1 and will play for a spot in the final against Ivory . In the second match of the day, Team Nemesis confidently defeated BOOM Esports and will face Execration .
In the lower bracket, Castawake and Tech Free Gaming advance further — Castawake won a tense series against InterActive Philippines , and Tech Free Gaming easily handled Trailer Park Boys, winning 2:0. In the next round, they will play against each other for a spot in the quarterfinals.
Western Europe
In the upper bracket, NAVI Junior and 4Pirates continue their journey to TI 2025 — NAVI Junior confidently defeated Nigma Galaxy and will face 1win in the semifinals. In another quarterfinal, 4Pirates crushed AVULUS and will face OG.
In the lower bracket, Virtus.Pro and Yellow Submarine kept their hopes alive for TI — VP easily passed MOUZ, while Yellow Submarine clinched a victory in a tense series against Team Secret . In the next round of the lower bracket, they will play against Nigma Galaxy and AVULUS, respectively.
North America
Wildcard confirmed their status as the strongest team in this qualification. In the grand final, they met Shopify Rebellion for the second time — the tournament favorites whom they had already defeated earlier. A 3:2 victory secured them first place and a ticket to the main part of the tournament.
China
Yakult's Brothers, despite losing in the upper bracket final, quickly bounced back. In the lower bracket, they faced Tearlaments again and emerged victorious with a score of 2:1, securing a place in the grand final. However, they couldn't stop Xtreme Gaming .
Xtreme Gaming effortlessly confirmed their status as the favorites of the qualifiers. In the grand final, the team faced Yakult's Brothers again and left them no chance, finishing the series 3:0. Thus, Xtreme Gaming secured a confident victory in the tournament and advanced to the next stage.
The closed qualifiers for The International 2025 are taking place in June across all six regions and will serve as the final selection stage for the year's main tournament.
